# start_cardholder_kyc

> Start (or resume) identity verification for a cardholder.

Connect to `https://mcp.agentcard.sh/mcp` with your **organization credential** (`client_id` + `client_secret`, or the org access token).

## What it does

Start (or resume) identity verification for a cardholder. You initiate it; only the user themself completes it. In sandbox this approves instantly. Live returns a verification\_url — hand it to the user; they upload their ID and take a face scan there. Poll get\_cardholder\_kyc\_status afterward.

| `status` | string | "verified", "pending", or "kyc\_rejected". |
